يبدأ رقم الفهرس من 0 وينتقل إلى n-1، حيث n هو طول السلسلة. يعود StringIndexOutOfBoundsException، إذا كان رقم الفهرس المحدد أكبر من أو يساوي طول السلسلة أو رقمًا سالبًا.
